Save Me is a dark k-drama series that will make you absolutely terrified of cults.Īfter a tragedy, a family gets heavily influenced by a cult disguised as a church, and daughter Sang-Mi does everything she can to try to escape. Han So Hee from Nevertheless stars as the lead, and it’s so interesting seeing her in a completely different role (and killing it)! Some scenes are pretty triggering and brutal, so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. My Name is action-packed and quite bloody, and it kinda reminds me of The Punisher, also a Netflix Original series. Strangers from Hellis a wild and anxiety-ridden ride, and it’s definitely not for people who easily get frightened by horror.Īfter her father is murdered, a young girl puts her trust in a crime boss to get revenge against her father’s killer. It was actually the first South Korean Netflix Original series!Ģ seasons available on Netflix, still ongoingĪ young man moves into a cheap apartment with strange and suspicious residents, and everything starts to go downhill. Oh, and the zombies run fast, which is my worst nightmare when it comes to zombie shows. In Kingdom, a mysterious plague makes its way through the kingdom while the crown prince tries to save his people.

TBH I’m not crazy about the lead actress (who smiles and laughs in the weirdest situations), but it’s not the worst. You don’t really know who to root for, which makes it really interesting! Nevertheless is a beautiful romance Korean drama, and it stars Han So Hee and Song Kang!Ī successful painter’s life starts to fray after a former friend comes back into her life. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a super cute rom-com Korean drama!Ī cynical art student who doesn’t believe in love starts a relationship with a flirtatious classmate who doesn’t believe in relationships.

Which is possibly part of why it’s become so popular!Īfter losing her job, a dentist moves to a seaside village where she meets a handyman who can pretty much do anything and everything. The production team was advised by actual North Korean defectors for the show, so it’s the closest portrayal to actual life in North Korea out there in the media. It’s a love story that has its teary and heartfelt moments.
